Last Revised: December 13, 2024

These policies govern the collection of consumer information by Debt Consolidator.

By accessing or using any of Debt Consolidator's services, you agree to the terms outlined in the updated Privacy Policy.

Data We Collect through Our Services and How We Gather It

We gather both personally identifiable information and non-personally identifiable information through our services.

We gather personal details that can identify a visitor or user, such as their name, address, email address, state of residence, phone number, unsecured debt amount, interactions with our services, how they learned about us, and any other information they choose to share with us, but only when voluntarily provided.

The non-personal information we collect consists of details such as the visitor’s browser type, device type, and operating system; the sections of Our Services they visit; the date and time of their access; information about their internet service provider (ISP) or host; and the referring site (the website that directed the visitor to Our Services).

How We Utilize Your Information

We may use the information we gather through Our Services to:

  • Deliver Our Services to you
  • Enhance, update, or modify our products and services
  • Offer customer support
  • Enroll users seeking lending or debt relief solutions
  • Provide updates about Our Services or necessary notifications
  • Send marketing or promotional content that may interest you and help us tailor relevant ads
  • Personalize your experience when interacting with Our Services
  • Safeguard against and detect fraud, violations, and potential misuse
  • Adhere to and enforce applicable laws, industry standards, and policies

How We Gather, Use, and Safeguard Social Security Numbers

Debt Consolidator may collect Social Security numbers ("SSNs") during the course of our operations. We are committed to safeguarding the confidentiality and security of any SSNs we handle by:

  • Limiting access to SSNs
  • Implementing appropriate safeguards to prevent loss, misuse, or unauthorized disclosure of SSNs.

How We Utilize Data Collection Tools

When you visit our website, we utilize tracking technologies such as site visit recorders, third-party cookies, beacons, tags, and scripts to gather the information mentioned above, as well as aggregated data from your internet browser, including your interactions with our site.

Cookies

Debt Consolidator may use electronic "cookies" in the browser files of your computer or mobile device when you interact with Our Services. Cookies are small text files sent by your web browser from the website you visit. Cookies can be either "persistent" or "session" cookies. Persistent cookies, also called stored or permanent cookies, stay on your device until you delete them or they expire. Session cookies are temporary and are deleted once you close your browser.

Our Services utilize both persistent and session cookies. Persistent cookies allow us to monitor and target user interests, improving the overall experience of Our Services. Session cookies help facilitate smoother navigation while you use Our Services.

We use cookies to enhance the functionality of Our Services and track how the website is used, enabling us to improve and tailor it to user preferences. Specifically, we may utilize the information gathered from your use of cookies to:

  • Identify your device when you visit the website
  • Monitor your activity as you explore Our Services
  • Enhance the user-friendliness of Our Services
  • Assess how Our Services are used
  • Customize your website experience, including delivering personalized ads

Web beacons and other technologies

In addition to cookies, we may utilize other tools to gather non-personally identifiable information about your interaction with Our Services, including the use of “web beacons” (sometimes referred to as Internet tags, pixel tags, or clear GIFs) and analyzing “clickstream” data. Web beacons connect web pages to web servers and cookies, and can help transmit data collected from cookies back to a web server. “Click stream” data refers to the virtual trail you create while browsing the Internet and visiting our websites. We employ web beacons and click stream data to collect information about visits to Our Services. This information may include details about your device, such as your IP address, but does not personally identify you.

Your Options

Most web browsers are configured to accept cookies by default, but you can usually modify your settings to block cookies or allow them selectively through the “Help” section of your browser. Additionally, you have the option to delete any cookies that have already been stored on your device.

If cookies are disabled, certain features of Our Services may not function properly or may not be available, leading to a less seamless or personalized experience. Blocking cookies will also prevent web beacons from tracking your activity and limit the information we can collect, such as your IP address, although we will still capture a record of your visit.

External Analytics

We utilize third-party analytics tools, such as Google Analytics and Facebook Pixels, to assess how our services are used and to enhance the performance and user experience of Our Services. These services may employ cookies and other tracking technologies for their functions. While we do not share personal information such as your name or contact details with these analytics providers, data generated through cookies about your website usage, including your IP address, may be transmitted and stored on their servers, which are often located in the United States. These providers may use this information to analyze your use of our site, generate reports on site activity for website operators, and offer additional services related to website performance and internet usage.

External Advertising Networks

We work with third-party advertising networks to display advertisements on other websites or media platforms, such as social media. This allows both us and these third parties to deliver targeted ads based on your interests in products and services. These third-party ad network providers, advertisers, sponsors, and traffic measurement services may use cookies, JavaScript, web beacons (including clear GIFs), Flash cookies, and other tracking technologies to evaluate the effectiveness of their ads and personalize advertising content for you. The use of these cookies and tracking technologies is subject to the individual privacy policies of the third parties, not this Privacy Policy. We may share certain information about you with these third-party advertisers.

If you choose to opt out, you will still see ads on our Site, but they will no longer be tailored based on your browsing and shopping activities.

How We Handle Do Not Track Requests

How we address Do Not Track ("DNT") signals or other mechanisms that allow consumers to control the collection of personally identifiable information regarding their online activities across third-party websites or services.

At this time, we do not respond to “Do Not Track” signals from web browsers, as we do not track individual users across the internet.

Do other parties collect personally identifiable information about a consumer's online activities over time and across different websites when using Debt Consolidator Services?

No.

Protection of Online Communications and Information

We implement reasonable security measures to protect the personally identifiable information you provide from loss, misuse, alteration, or unauthorized access. However, no data transmission or storage method is completely secure, and we cannot be held responsible for any harm, loss, or damage you may experience as a result of transmitting information to or from Debt Consolidator over the internet.
